According to neurological research conducted by leading research centers across the globe, the early years in human life plays a crucial role in a child's brain development. Toddlers begin to adapt in their surroundings from a very early age—including prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal periods. This makes early experiences such as their bonds with parents as well as earliest exposure to the outside world—deeply affect their future physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. What exactly is early learning? Preschools are more than alphabet and number learning centers! These places are the first point of contact with the outside world for children. Early learning might be considered as a child’s contact with his class teachers, peer group, and people who come in contact with them. The acquired experiences help a child build more complex skills from the basics foundational capabilities. What is the purpose? Early childhood education is similar to any training program, the only difference is that it is given to young children. Same as any incubator center, children gain the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development needed for a brighter and successful future. If not done right, a poor early childhood education may affect the child’s capacity of learning new concepts. Benefits The classroom provides a place for mental stimulation and nurturing ambiance for a child. It helps the kid to establish his identity among others, to see himself as a part of a big group, and contribute his part to the group. There is a popular adage that says—a young mind is like a sponge. It has the potential to absorb information coming out of a number of resources. However, this very factor also makes it highly crucial for children to have proper guidance during learning. There are a number of benefits associated with early childhood education, here we have listed out few. 1.Socialization. A child comes in direct contact with the outside world, preschool provides a common ground for a kid to meet new kids of the same age group. They engage themselves with new kids, learning about their habits and practice. They learn to adapt to a new place among new people and gain an altogether new experience. 2.Cooperation. An active engagement conditions a child to get in term with others. With proper guidance, the kid is made sensitive about his surroundings and people. This is when he learns to adjust and cooperate in order to develop a healthy peer relationship. This helps a great deal as he grows up and goes out meeting and working with new people. 3.Holistic Development. We, humans, are social animals, therefore it is very crucial for us to have a strong foundation in every aspect of our personality like social, emotional, mental, and physical. Teachers can well-identify the weaker aspect of a particular child and help him to overcome it through peer interaction and other practical sessions. 4.Value of education. Kids learn a new perspective on the requirement of education in the new environment, with the teacher’s guidance. This helps kids to grasp knowledge and develop a skill set to apply them to their lives. This helps them to create a high value of education. 5.Teamwork. Interaction with others helps kids to develop respect for one another. Consequently, kids tend to listen more, understand, and, develop a mentality for equality in general practice. This all leads to teamwork, that a child can be taught in early age. This hugely improves their attitude towards coming out of their comfort zone and working as a team. 6.Resilience. It is very important to grow this aspect as early as possible as it prevents a child from odd situations. Children learn a great deal from their experiences, and if guided by elders they can gain healthy life lessons. The stumbles from their struggles lay the foundation for developing better-coping strategies to cope up with future challenges. 7.Confidence. An individual can explore his talent, only when armed with a sense of wellbeing. A healthy conversation with teachers and peer group fills a child with positive views about himself. This is one of the important impacts of early childhood education. According to Tree House Founder, Rajesh Bhatia “An early education plays a crucial role in a child's psychology and has the potential to bring phenomenal growth in his later life."
